Money Basics · 7-episode series

Money Basics.

Seven short episodes that take kids 5–12 from “what even is money?” to “why do taxes exist?”, without ever sounding like school.

What the series teaches

From barter to taxes: what your child will learn.

Money Basics teaches kids 5–12 how money really works, one clear idea per episode, in stories they actually remember. Across the seven episodes, your child comes away knowing:

  • What money actually is, and why we invented it.
  • How to plan money: the FIVE-FOUR-ONE plan (5 parts to spend · 4 to save · 1 to give).
  • How to tell a need from a want.
  • How saving works, and how money can grow over time.
  • Why giving matters, and what taxes pay for.

Every episode stands alone, so you can watch in any order. Together, they build a complete, age-appropriate picture of how money works in the real world.

How to use the series
