Where life skills begin
About Early Soft Skills.
A warm, parent-trusted children's brand teaching the soft skills kids don't get in school: money sense, emotional intelligence, and everyday life smarts.
Some lessons come too late.
Most adults can think of one money mistake, one missed conversation, one habit they wish someone had helped them build earlier. We're trying to close that gap, one short story at a time.
We start with money because it's the most common ask from parents, and the area where small early habits compound the most. Every Money Basics episode is a stand-alone story; together, they build a picture of how money works in the real world.
From there, we'll keep adding stories across emotional intelligence and everyday life smarts too, releasing videos and resources as they're ready, in whatever order serves families best, rather than finishing one series before starting the next.
Whiteboard animation, real curriculum.
Every episode is hand-drawn, frame by frame, by a real human hand on a virtual whiteboard. We chose the format for three reasons:
- Kids watch it. The hand drawing on screen pulls focus; even older kids stay engaged.
- It's calm. No flashing edits, no over-stimulation, no algorithmic dopamine loops.
- It scales the curriculum. We can teach real concepts without a polished cartoon budget.
Behind each video sits a proper curriculum outline. Each script is written long-form, reviewed for accuracy, and tested for kid-readability before it ever becomes a video.
A small operation, made for parents.
Early Soft Skills is a programme by Convitronix Ltd, an independent UK company. We're solo-run, no investors, no growth-at-all-costs pressure. That lets us care about every episode and every resource.
We don't run personalised ads. We don't sell user data. We don't have a community forum or comments where kids can post. The videos on YouTube are flagged as “Made for Kids,” with all that implies: no ads, no recommendations chasing engagement.
Where we make money: this website's shop. Workbooks, guides, games, storybooks, built to complement the free YouTube content, never to gate it.
Money Basics is the start.
Seven Money Basics episodes are in production now. After that:
- Emotional Intelligence: naming feelings, handling friendships, listening, and building resilience.
- Everyday Life Smarts: time, food, choices, the small skills nobody teaches.
