For Parents

Frequently asked questions.

The questions we get most. Missing one? Email us.

What age are these videos for?

Roughly 5 to 12. The Money Basics episodes pitch the core concept at around age 7–9 but layer in extra detail so older kids stay engaged and younger kids still follow the story. It depends more on the child than the age.

How long is each episode?

Between 8 and 14 minutes. Each one is a complete story. No cliffhangers, no "to be continued."

Do I need to watch them in order?

No. Each Money Basics episode stands alone. Some characters reappear across the series, but you don't need backstory to understand any single episode.

Is it all free?

The videos on YouTube are free. This website also has a free resources section, with printables you can download at no cost.

The optional paid resources (workbooks, guides, games, storybooks, bundles) are how the project keeps going. None of them are required to enjoy the videos.

Why YouTube?

It's where kids already are. We'd rather make calm, high-quality short videos in the place your child watches than ask families to download yet another app or sign up for yet another account.

Every video is flagged "Made for Kids" on YouTube, which means no personalised ads, no comments, no chat, no notification bell, and no end screens designed to chain-watch.

What data do you collect, and from whom?

On this site, we collect almost no data. We use cookieless analytics (we know roughly how many people visit which page. That's it). We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any ad-tech.

This site is made for the grown-ups in a child's life. Signing up for a free download or buying a resource assumes you're 18 or older, and email uses double opt-in, so any personal details we hold come from adults, not children. The only place a child watches directly is YouTube, where every video is flagged "Made for Kids" (no comments, no chat, and no data collected from kids).

The one exception is if you chooseto leave a review on a paid resource: the first name and review text you submit are published publicly on that product’s page once we’ve checked them. That’s entirely optional, and a first name or initial is fine.

Our Privacy Policy has the detail.

Can I leave a review on a paid resource?

Yes. After buying a paid resource you can leave a star rating and a short review on its product page. We read every review before it appears, to keep things friendly and spam-free.

The first name and review text you submit are shown publicly on that page; your email and order details are not. You can ask us to remove your review at any time via the contact page.

Do you have ads on the videos?

YouTube places limited, non-personalised ads on "Made for Kids" content. We don't run sponsorships, brand deals, or affiliate links inside any video.

Can my child's school use these?

Yes. Anything we share publicly (the videos and free downloads) is fine to use in a single classroom, and the paid resources in the shop are licensed the same way: buy one copy and print it for one classroom. Please don't redistribute paid PDFs across a whole school; if you need a licence for multi-classroom or whole-school use, get in touch and we’ll sort something out.

Can I print and use a resource in a classroom?

Yes, for a single classroom. Please don't redistribute the PDF or resell it. Every PDF back-cover spells out the licensing in plain English.

I've bought a download. What format is it, and how do I open it?

Paid resources are print-ready PDFs. They open on any phone, tablet, or computer with a free PDF reader; there’s nothing to install and nothing to run. Print them at home whenever you like. (A few resources come as a ZIP folder of several PDFs; when they do, it’s noted on the product page, and your device opens the folder automatically.)

You get your download two ways: it appears on the confirmation page the moment your payment clears, and we email the same link to the address you used at checkout so you can come back to it any time for 7 days. The files sit on our own site, reachable only through your private link. If a link ever expires, just reply to your confirmation email and we’ll send a fresh one.

What about refunds?

We have a clear digital refund policy; see Refunds. Short version: if a download is broken or the wrong file, we'll fix it or refund you. We don't refund "changed my mind" on digital downloads because the file is already in your inbox. For physical products, like printed storybooks, you have 14 days to change your mind, and anything that arrives damaged, faulty, or wrong is replaced or refunded, in line with your statutory UK consumer rights.
